Jennifer Ghozland is an experienced trial lawyer who has focused her career on employment litigation and counseling. Jennifer is committed to protecting and defending employees against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Jennifer handles all aspects of an employment claim, including pre-litigation negotiations, mediation, arbitration, litigation and trial on behalf of employees.
Prior to joining Ghozland Law Firm, PC, Jennifer was a Partner in the Employment practice group of Gordon & Rees, a large national law firm, where she represented business clients in all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout California. Her experience there included counseling on hiring practices, terminations (including separation agreements), discipline, reductions in force, workplace investigations, drafting and revising industry-specific employee handbooks and other written policies, contracts, wage and hour compliance, sexual harassment training, and litigation avoidance practices. Jennifer’s litigation practice included claims for wrongful termination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour, PAGA, and discrimination based on protected characteristics including age, race, national origin, disability, sex, gender, pregnancy, and sexual orientation. She has also litigated matters involving claims for breach of contract, fraud, defamation, and other torts.
Jennifer Ghozland is recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in Employment Law, an honor awarded to less than 2.5% of attorneys in the state. She has also been honored in the National Association of Professional Women for “Outstanding Excellence and Dedication to her Profession and the Achievement of Women”.
